Après Ski in La Plagne

Just as important as the skiing is the Après Ski, and La Plagne is filled with entertainment for all age groups.

With a wide variety of restaurants to choose from offering a choice of cuisine, from gourmet to snack food, nobody goes hungry. The only problem is deciding which to choose. And remember this is France where cooking and eating is a national past time, and no matter what you choose, dishes are prepared and served fresh, with love and care.

For those of you who like to experiment the local specialities of fondue Savoyarde, tartiflette, Savoyard sausages and crozets, are a must and if you can tear yourself away from the slopes take time out and savour these, with some wine at one of the mountain restaurants.

Alcohol usually forms a big part of the Après Ski and there is no shortage of places to try. The atmosphere and inside is warm and welcoming and some bars offer live music. For the young at heart and those who want a bit more from their evening there is also a nightclub.

Apart from some shopping, which is limited, for those still with energy to burn you can try ice climbing or take a tandem trip over the slopes on a twin paraglider. Or soak those aching bones relaxing in the warm waters of a spa.

La Plagne is a family resort and therefore Après Ski for the children is also well taken care of with a number of kids clubs and nurseries, generally catering for kids from 3 – 13 years old.

At Lime Sports we live here all year round, and we are happy to recommend the best places for the Après Ski and what there is to do off-piste.
