So what happens in the summer?

For a totally different experience, summer in the Alps and La Plagne in particular is something else.

The scenery has changed from white to green with a variety of flowers and nature trails to follow. Walking, mountain bike or car La Plagne offers three different experiences for you to explore; the valley, the villages or high altitude.

Lose yourself in the quiet, peaceful surroundings of mother-nature at her best as you walk or climb alongside Mont Blanc or just quietly wander the heritage trails admiring the original architecture still to be found in many of the villages surrounding La Plagne.

During the summer there are a number of special events including the arduous 6000-D considered one of the toughest races by seasoned trail runners as they run from the apple orchards to the top of the glacier of Mont Blanc. You can walk part of it yourself, except on race day.

Better still in August compete in the Festiplagne, which brings adults and children together challenging them to work together completing 12 of the 16 challenges.

If you feel adventurous and fancy a new sport then Standup Paddle Boarding is worth trying. Craig is a ski instructor in the winter but come summer he is a qualified SUP instructor and will be happy to give an introduction and lessons and set you on your way to a new hobby. We also offer kids SUP, SUP yoga, SUP polo and full day SUP trips. Something for everyone!

Summer and winter La Plagne is our playground and we, Dani and Craig with our kids and Lime SnowSports, hope you will join us soon.
